The overview of Vietnam M&A Forum 2020

Vietnam M&A Forum is an annual activity organized by VIR and AVM Vietnam under the patronage of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, starting in 2009. The annual event attracts the participation of hundreds of leading domestic and international enterprises, investment funds and financial companies. “The Outstanding M&A Advisor” is one of the main awards honored to financial institutions that have great contribution to M&A consulting activities in Vietnamese market.

The assessment of the award is based on capacity of the advisory organization including: the size of the deal, the role of the consultant in the transaction, as well as the influence of the deal on market development. This year, in the list of advisory organizations awarded, there are 5 securities companies and Viet Dragon is proud to be one among 4 securities companies that honored “The outstanding M&A Advisor" in 2019-2020.

In 2020, despite the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, Viet Dragon’s Investment banking sector has recorded a cumulative revenue of 10 months of 2020 exceeding 300% of the plan for 2020 and increasing more than 600% compared to 2019. In which, capital arrangement consulting services have contributed more than 75% of investment banking’s revenue.

In the future, beside traditional consulting services, Viet Dragon will focus on developing capital arrangement and M&A consulting services, especially focusing on industries that Viet Dragon has strengths in: Real Estate (including tourism real estate), Industrial Park Infrastructure, Medicine-Health, Renewable Energy, Construction Materials and Consumer Goods.
