“RongViet – For a Greener Vietnam” was initiated by RongViet Securities in 2024 with the aim of expanding green coverage across the country, while promoting community awareness and responsibility for environmental protection and sustainable development. The program also reflects RongViet’s response to the Government’s initiative “Planting One Billion Trees for the 2021–2025 Period.”  

In its first edition in 2024, RongViet Securities planted 300 crape myrtle trees along Nguyen Thong Street and on the hillside in the Po Sah Inu Tower area in former Phan Thiet City, now part of Phu Thuy Ward, Lam Dong Province.

This year, RongViet Securities, in collaboration with its subsidiary, Rong Viet Asset Management (VDAM), continued to expand the project by planting an additional 300 crape myrtle trees to fully cover the hillside, while upgrading the landscape and pathways to welcome visitors for sightseeing and photo opportunities. 

With a total implementation budget of over VND 1.3 billion, the 600-tree crape myrtle garden funded by RongViet Securities will continue to be maintained, preserved, and irrigated daily for a period of six months to ensure healthy growth, with any damaged trees to be replaced as needed.

“We hope that with the distinctive purple blooms of crape myrtle, the project will enhance the landscape at the gateway to the Mui Ne National Tourism Area, while creating a green, clean, and beautiful environment for local communities and visitors. RongViet also aims to spread awareness and strengthen community responsibility for environmental protection and sustainable development, while contributing to the promotion of socialized initiatives for urban tree planting in the locality,” Ms. Huyen shared.

Emphasizing the impact of the initiative, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Nghị stated: “Over two years of implementation, the ‘RongViet – For a Greener Vietnam’ program has contributed to the planting of 600 crape myrtle trees along Nguyen Thong Street and on the hillside of the Po Sah Inu Tower area, helping to create a greener, cleaner, and more beautiful landscape for the locality. The crape myrtle garden project has received positive feedback from local communities and visitors. The People’s Committee of the ward is committed to continuing to coordinate in maintaining, protecting, and preserving this meaningful project.”

The Company has also allocated more than VND 5.33 billion from after-tax profits in 2023 and 2024 to establish a charitable fund, aimed at strengthening the budget for community initiatives, social welfare sponsorships, and environmental protection activities. In 2024 alone, RongViet Securities dedicated over VND 4.46 billion to sustainable development initiatives benefiting the community and society. 

These continuous efforts in advancing a sustainable development strategy centered on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) pillars have enabled RongViet to achieve a Top 7 ranking among leading securities firms in ESG practices, awarded by the Vietnam Association of Securities Business (VASB) in early 2025.
