"RongViet - For a Green Vietnam" was initiated by RongViet in 2024 to contribute to creating green spaces across the country, while also spreading the message and community awareness of environmental protection and sustainable development. This is also RongViet's activity to respond to the Government's "Planting One Billion Trees in the 2021-2025 period" project. 

RongViet Securities presented the "LagerstroemiaGarden" project to Phan Thiet City

At the ceremony, RongViet Securities Corporation handed over to the Phan Thiet City People's Committee a project consisting of 300 Lagerstroemia trees planted along Nguyen Thong Street and the hillside area of Po Sah Inu Tower, Phu Hai Ward. 

The "Lagerstroemia Garden" project has a total value of over 551 million VND and will be cared for, preserved, and watered daily for 6 months from the planting date, with replacements provided for any damaged trees. Furthermore, the project will receive regular care until 2026 to ensure good tree growth. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Mien Tuan - Chairman of RongViet said: "Besides always striving to achieve high business efficiency and sustainable development, contributing to the development of the Vietnamese financial market, RongViet also desires to share its achievements for the development of the community and society through sustainable development activities, including the goal of green development, environmental protection, and combating climate change".

"We believe that the wide garden of Lagerstroemiatrees, accompanied by their sweet purple color, will contribute to beautifying the urban landscape at the gateway to Mui Ne National Tourist Area, Phan Thiet City, contributing to creating a green, clean, and beautiful environment for local people and tourists”. 

Representing the Phan Thiet City People's Committee, Mr. Phan Nguyen Hoang Tan - Provincial Committee Member and Chairman of the City People's Committee, thanked and acknowledged the generosity of RongViet Securities Corporation for joining hands and contributing funds to implement the urban greening plan on the roads leading into Phan Thiet City. Mr. Tan emphasized: "This is not only an act demonstrating the awareness of joining hands to protect and care for urban greenery and create landscapes, but also a meaningful and practical action to mitigate the effects of climate change and create a green and clean environment for city residents".

With a sustainable development orientation following ESG (Environmental - Social - Governance) criteria, for the past 15 years, RongViet has continuously implemented many annual programs aimed at the community, such as  “Accompanying to School - Nurturing Dreams " to build and repair classrooms and restrooms, install clean water filters, and donate tables, chairs, computers, learning supplies, and scholarships to primary schools and students in remote areas; and the "Sharing Love" program during the traditional Lunar New Year to send gifts to families in difficult circumstances. 

"Rong Viet - For a Green Vietnam" will continue its journey of "greening" to provinces and cities across the country. 

In early 2024, Rong Viet's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders approved the allocation of 0.75% of after-tax profit (equivalent to nearly 2.5 billion VND) to the Company's Charity Fund and plans to increase this rate to 1% next year. This Charity Fund will help strengthen and supplement the budget for charitable activities in addition to contributions from the Trade Union and employees. This demonstrates Rong Viet's firm commitment to continuing to accompany and promote activities for the community and society.
